The Big Doll House was a women in prison film, part of a growing genre of cheaply made exploitation movies. Pam relied on that Stanislavski book constantly and wouldn't go out at night with her cast mates. She'd stay in and rehearse her lines. Her character gets into a mud fight with another actress, survives a sexual assault, and has a grueling death scene.
