The Myth of 10% of the Brain
It is true that only a small minority of neurons in the brain are going to be firing action potentials at any given moment. But that doesn't mean we only use 10% of our brains, it just means only some neurons are firing at a particular instance. Another reason why we can clearly tell this claim is false is because the brain uses a great deal of energy. If 90% of the brain was non-functional, it simply wouldn't be there. There is simply is no such thing as a lie detector.
