Introduction

Alfred Hitchcock's Tom Torne curtain was released in 1966. The film is about a fake defection to communist East Germany. In real life, actor Wolfgang Keeling became disgusted with U.S. society after production of the movie. He then defected to his country from America and lived there for 20 years.
