In direct experience, there are no sense organs. And the senses are not divided, although we call them hearing, seeing, touching and so on. But there is one sense, one sense sensing itself, so to speak. There's a process of sensing a movement of sentience. So just watch the unfolding of thought. You don't experience yourself as generating thoughts. They appear from nowhere, seemingly. Thoughts may as well be sounds, actually. Or maybe thought seems to appear as an image. Again, it's just another expression of this intelligence,. This fundamental intelligence. Any meaning that thought presents is derived from the basic meaningfulness of reality.
