If your CTP is low, when you get septosemia your HDL stays high and it's very likely that the HDL particle functions as a sink for endotoxins and everything else. So having a high HDL and a constant high HDL during septosedmia is a very good thing. And I on a recent podcast shared that I used to witness the opposite in the ICU which was a drop in HDL cholesterol. That would actually be a poor prognostic indicator. Not necessarily poor. It's just that's the normal indication. Yeah.
