The History of Judaism

Second temple judaism, dominant when christ walked the earth, was very different from abinic judaism in both doctrine and practice. The religion of the apostles was not shallow and simple, but deep and complex. As with judaism of the time, many beliefs in rituals were identical between christianity and judaism. Christ did not appear to saint paul and offer him a new religion, but additional fresh facts about what he already strongly believed. He practised old testament christianity, not some new fangled religion for which he had thrown over his youth.
