This is what I gather Is is similar to the kinds of pitches that have been given there and to me it's a completely wacky pitch. What does it mean to say we kind of you know imagine that we have technology and million years more advanced than ours? Does that enmesh with the things that we care about doing today? It might be that well You know and another point is that actually this very same principle of computational equivalence implies that this whole idea of look for intelligence In these sort of special places as opposed to just saying all these kinds of systems in nature Are showing examples of the kind of computation that we might call intelligence.
