The Difference Between Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Religious Belief
Since Xi Jinping came to power, China has become more restrictive or even more paranoid in relation to religious belief and practice. Even things like growing a beard has been interpreted as a sign of extremism. Religious organizations are required to actively propagate CCP ideology. All religions must love the country and the party and support political stability.
