The Origins of James
The name James comes from a Hebrew name, Yaakov Jacob. The hard C sound that we have in the, in the, um, or the, uh, the M drops off entirely and the hard C sound will turn to, into like a G or something like that. San Diego has nothing to do with a whale but is Saint James or Saint Jacob, San San Diego. These are just different ways that people pronounce things based on their particular region in their time. And this is going to have relevance when we talk about how we get from here to there.
