Venture capital firms were advising their clients to get the pitchforks and torches and go down to the bank and get their money from Scrooge McDuck before it was all gone. So of course that created a run on the bank, people started withdrawing their money and transferring it elsewhere. The US government made an announcement on Sunday saying depositors will have access to all of their money starting March 13th. No losses associated with the resolution of Silicon Valley Bank will be borne by the taxpayer.
