In 19 21, there is a full page ad for an electric refrigerator show that was taking place at the new york edison company located at irving place in fifteenth street. But then i got to the part in the ad that mentions its ice consumption and how this model uses less ice than other leading refrigerators. And i realized that the ad that i was reading was for a refrigerator that was still running on ice. It was basically an old wooden ice box with three doors, including one that you plopped your ice cubin ice block into.
