The oil industry is in a sweet spot for capital allocation stuff because it's a sort of a declining industry. It doesn't see itself most of them as being Existentially threatened so that has to go and buy random things outside of it which may happen at some point, but that hasn't happened yet. But if the pricing goes stress-fearic Then it'll unleash a lot of activity that people said they weren't going to engage in before. And then at other times it was just complete changes like the 70s when no economy had ever become more efficient in terms of its energies.
