The Importance of Testing for Demonic Harassment
The exorcist never takes an alleged victim's claim of demonic harassment for granted. This is because the majority of possession claims are bogus. If someone is faking possession, he might be deceived himself in that he suffers from mental illness. Whether intentional or not, given the large number of inauthentic possession cases, a significant portion of the exorcist's time is spent discerning between counterfeit and authentic cases of demonic attacks.
