In a similar spirit to Joshua's question I'm curious if there's any like core insights or intuitions that you feel that you've gained from either clinical medicine or having done field work on emerging infectious diseases. If you have never tried to be on the ground as the one actually implementing what it is that someone else designed then you can miss things that are obvious to people who have done that work.
