The problem is, you want to have principles, but these companies have substituted policies for principles. It would make it personally really hard to work at one of these places, because it doesn't feel like it's principled. Riht, it's not just your writing a rule book. You're waiting until you don't like something, and then you pretending like the rule was there all along.
