The Role of Women in the Revolutions
I find the idea really interesting of it being a kind of apprenticeship in vocalizing perhaps you know trends and patterns that have been around for a while but expressing them in political terms. Women are a fascinating strand of this revolution because partly because they rightly see that patriarchy is a more deeply entrenched and anchored form of discrimination than any of the others. They're involved in every phase of the revolution they're very present in the visual documents of the revolution. I mean there's no question about their presence it's just that they had sort of you know dropped through the net of the narratives the dominant narratives.
