The Importance of Faith
In the second reading today, St. Peter says you will have to suffer through various trials. He also means a certain kind of trial that is a result of faith. And this is so important because people who St. Peter's writing to, he's writing to the whole church. John Paul II called what other Christian atheists might call practical atheists. They say they believe Jesus is God, but don't live like Jesus is God.
