CNN's John Sutter and katy Drexler dug up some 450 devices that had received this designation. They found a cardiak in plans for people with heart failure,. brain in er faces meant to aid people with paralysis, aid diagnostics for cancer. As to whether that breakthrough is, i think ike, one of the critical findings of the story is that we never really find riht the f d as job. Their job is to determine whether or not something is safe and effective enough to go on the market; it just has to prove that it works.
