Do You Think We Shouldn't Be Building New Homes?

I struggled when we were writing the book with the question of what is the value like will single family detached houses ever be, you know, a net positive? Is there a way for it to not be destructive? Even if the houses we build are net carbon negative, does it support a lifestyle that is unsupportable? Right? So that's sort of one of the essential questions that I don't have an answer for. But yeah, new houses, I think there's a graphic in the book that shows average home size and average family size. Our families are getting smaller while our houses are getting bigger.
