The Challenge for a Mars Mission
Food will keep your body going. It'll keep you alive. Long duration, i s s mission, six moths, you need food to taste nice. As we go full back to the moon, for example, as we push on to mars, what are we going to do? We can't just take our camping food with us for three year missions. We have to let live off the land. That's a huge challenge for a mars mission. And so now there's talk of that prepositioning of the food being done by a solar powered rocket rather than a chemical rocket.
