Is There a Social Democracy in Policing?

No left wing political party wants to touch policing for fear of being accused of being soft on crime. There was historically a social democratic policing model that picks up the stuff that you're talking about. But it doesn't seem to me that that kind of police thinking barely seems to have any political purchase at all these days. The fact that people are simply articulating questions that never happens, even if they will still lead them in that direction is good development.
