In this chapter, they discuss a revolutionary energy system that can be used on the moon and potentially replace mining. They explain how by putting a rock in a microwave, the atomic rock structure breaks down and molten globules of metal, as well as pure oxygen, are produced. They compare this process to how putting aluminum foil in a microwave creates sparks and how this energy is exothermic, meaning more energy comes out than what is put in.
