Migrants in Machine Politics how India's urban poor seek representation and responsiveness has just been published by Oxford University Press. The book describes how they pay more attention to the relationship between brokers and the politicians because you can imagine instances where even if it's the voters lifting up the broker that the politicians refuse to deal with the broker or want to fire the broker.
