What Is Womanist Biblical Interpretation?

The term womanist comes from Alice Walker, the writer of the color purple. Some black women begin to use this term and some scholars also construct what they are calling a womanist approach. Womanist approaches are different depending on the field and depending on the scholar who's using it. And then third is probably some emphasis on the lived experiences of African-American women.
