"My ego was so offended that somebody didn't want to read every speck of my life and thought any of it, you know, should be edited out. And i just wasn't in the right place," he says. "I became kind of ill at that point, and i let those relationships fall away." The author has been sober for eight years but started drinking again after writing a book about his experiences.
