The Nominalist View of the Self
I think what happened here is because we did stop paying attention to God and the true nature of God, the Trinity and all of those doctrinal points from the early church. We have lost what it means to be made in the image of God. And so Christ victory over that is what the church kind of runs with and should continue to run with in its emphasis. But if you take an extreme nominalist position, that's where you end up. The word woman is simply a linguistic construct for a particular set and how you define the set is up to you.
