Our sense of agency, i think, is one of our more vivid conscious, subjective experiences. But this is also somewhat maliable. You can ask people, how much do you think you were in control? And the liberty experiment itself depends critically on people being able to say, this was the exact time when i had the intention to move. This is a very important part of conscious experience.
