Is It Possible to Be Absolute Certitude?
In his treatise, Abbesson lays out the different grades of certainty that someone can have. The objection here I guess then would be that just because you feel like you're certain about something doesn't mean that you really are certain. So he was way ahead of his time. Robbie actually has six conditions for what he calls absolute certitude and that's very important. It is enough for certain kinds of certitude but the other three conditions then narrow it down more.
