Is the Brain a Drug?
We need to be able to create mechanisms in the present that bind our future selves to, you know, rationally decided actions. In the socia economic sphere, it seems like we're kind of doing the opposite right now. Like every time there's a problem, we effectuvely break commitment to the integrity of the dollar. We can't just print money, which is short term, temporary stimulant effect on spending,. But it creates long term consequence. Is very much like a drug.
