The Effects of Caregiving on the Brain
Mothers' brains react differently to baby-related sounds and images, especially those from their own parents. It's thought that all of this like paying attention to our babies fine-tunes our capacity to read and respond to their cues so that we can change with them over time. But researchers don't know how long those changes last or if they are permanent.
