The Battle of Midalen

The Peloponnesians learned that Midalen had already surrendered just seven days earlier. The Spartans captured an unstated amount of Keon prisoners, since they sailed up to their vessels freely and thought it was Athenian ships. Some Ionian and lesbian exiles also tried to urge the Spartans to use their fleet in support of rebellions from other Ionian cities. But Alcatus rejected this plan as well, because his chief concern now that Midalan had surrendered was getting back to the Peloponnees quickly as possible.
