The CODAL has different forms of the argument and they don't all rely on the same technical deduction. I actually think that your worry there might precisely relate to, well, I was going to say it might relate to my initial worry that the properties aren't related in the right way. But what you're pointing out is that that actual technical deduction can be avoided in other ways. We'll talk more about that.
