The Story of Dr. Pangmi Min
Yang Abian credits his first grade teacher, teacher Yang Guang Yuan, with teaching him Mandarin. The best student in the class would win a trip to Tianan to see a movie, and Abian won this honor. But he does not remember seeing it because he fell asleep in the darkened theater. Teacher Yang was a fervent Taiwanese nationalist who had been a student of Dr. Pangmi Min.
