The Problem With Class Politics in the 21st Century
I consider myself a socialist or if you want to make it easier on yourself, you can say social democrat. But I do use the word socialist just because I'd like to make that word sayable again. For me being a socialist means acknowledging that there are social rights as well as political rights. And they're codified in the UN declaration on human rights that was published in 1948. So for me to believe that those are rights that we can gradually move towards is to be a socialist.
