The Schwarzschild Solution and the Black Hole
It took decades for people to really appreciate what the Schwarzschild solution was trying to tell them all along, right? It's just a tricky little generativity question. And then the quasar, as you mentioned, I mean, so there's a bright object in the sky very far away, very small,. this could be a candidate for an ultra-compact object that might be what we now call a black hole. So is it really accurate to say that experimental data nudges theorists towards trying to understand this? Oh, absolutely true. Yes.
