In 1900, more than half of Sweden's population was farmers. A lot of kids didn't live past childhood and so the Swedish developed their own superstitions. Vanan al-Riyev spent some time with his grandmother in rural southern Sweden. She told him about a stack of rocks called Rödstänsköbben that are bad luck to give as gifts.
