Elmore Leonard's Detroit Is a Deeper Place

I would say that is not the show's strong suit. I think that there are modern elements that they are gamely trying to put into this world. That some work and some simply don't. Vandy Curtis Hall is one of the few members of this cast who is from Detroit. They just kind of wish there was a little more of that specificity as opposed to this character is now in a different urban environment. The great, great actor, veteran actor,. playing sweetie, plays a bartender, former musician, and more of it.
