Reframing Can Be Such a Powerful Strategy
In inner conversations, they really are conversations, right? So what i mean by that is that they have this verbal, linguistic side to them. And the strategies that i am referring to are broadly related to distancing, and in particular, a distant self talk. When we think about our circumstances, we typically do so in the first person. But sometimes people spontaneously use their own name,. or the second person pronoun you when they talk to themselves and it turns out there's a term for this, is callediliism.
