The Dark Har and the Blue Eyed Blond
Every time the term blue blond recurs, it is magnified in meaning to refer to a whole human tradition and a certain attitude of life. So we start this theme of blue eyed blonds and then dark haired mediterraneans. That's his first fix. Every time the dark har comes up, it becomes linked up more and more with gipsy themes. And they move from perfectly simple, apparently innocent statements in the beginning to great magnifications at the end.
