The Effect of Media Reporting on Convictions in Sexual Harassment Cases
An increase in media reporting is leading to an increase in the time that's taken to reach a final decision for sexual harassment cases. I also see an increase for rape cases, although that's not significant. But interestingly, I'm finding that increase to translate into the more time that's taking to resolve non-violent property crimes. So these are the crimes that should not get affected by media reporting about sexual crimes. Right?
