Strength Gains and the Effect of Training Closer to Failure on Muscle Growth

There were a couple studies pretty high quality studies looking at this in 2017 and there were recently two more studies kind of on the same topic put out to this month. They basically found that within the literature up to that point strength gains were pretty similar whether or not sets were taken to failure. When you're doing velocity-based training if you're trying to move every rep as fast as possible bar speed and rep speed is going to slow down as you get closer to failure. There's I guess one researcher slash research a group worth paying attention to here and that is Pareha Blanco.
