How Much of a Reserve Fund Should I Need?
Don't do anything with your mortgage just out of panic it may be that doing something is the right thing to do but not necessarily whatever. Take a look at your cash reserves this could actually be an attacking measure as well making sure you've got cash on hand ready to strike when the opportunity comes up. The larger your portfolio the less cautious you have to be because if you've got one property then the rent could easily stop If you have 10 properties it's highly unlikely the rent will stop on all of them at the same time and it also depends on your ability to raise cash from elsewhere.
