The Differentiation of Fates in the New Testament

In the Hellenistic period, you have apocalyptic texts developing ideas of the afterlife that are both influenced by Greek and Roman ideas. So this idea of differentiation of fates looks different from but also not totally distinct from what we see in Plato, for example. And so it's during this time period that we end up seeing early Christian authors who are deeply influenced by this apocalyptic literature.
