The Photonic Approach to Quantum Computing
The light-based approach over the matter-based approach yeah. The key advantage of photonics is that i believe it uniquely offers a path into that million qubit regime. It's because you can manufacture that system using the same tools that we use to manufacture computer chips today. As far back as the turn of the century it was my conviction that we won't have quantum computing in my lifetime right and i plan to live to a grand old age until we figure out how to get there.
