Is the Even More Than I Say?
Paul stands between anesemus and philemon, offering himself as a guaranteer for them. He identifies fully with anecemus so that a glorious exchange can occur. Was paul expecting an esimus to be release? Perhaps the key consideration here is the cryptic statement in verse 21: i write to you knowing that you will do even more than i say. How might paul's paternt of appeal here be adopted by christians in our mission to those on the margins of our societies?
