The Importance of Consent in Promising Sex

The whole idea that consent is really important actually is a little bit connected to a background assumption that people are randomly having sex with lots of other people who they don't know. And so I have to check is it okay if it's like my spouse and like suppose we have sex every night. And you know is wait do consent, right? It seems like less of an issue. So I do think the idea that the stakes are potentially really high and something could go really wrong seems much more of an applicable thought for having like lots of promiscuous sex than it is for having the kind of sex that you're thinking about.
