Welch: When I first started coaching, in the beginning, I invested but when I looked back over the first 20 people I coached, and I saw, where's there any friction that's occurred here? So then he just went with this policy like, no cash, no equity, no investing, no nothing. It would be pure insanity for me to do anything that I didn't love when I was doing it for free.
