Average human brain weighs about three pounds, which is something around two % of average american's body weight. Brain consumes one fifth of all the oxygen that we're consume and about one fifth of our entire calory burn at any moment. If you put those, all those data points together, you could really make the argument that by virtue of being humans, most of us are essentially walking, talking, vision processing machines.
