The Hair of an Elephant
The hair thought of a way to get off the elephant's back. She dipped her paw into one of the sacks and took out a big piece of honey. This must be the sweetest honey I've ever tasted, said the hair. But then she realised what she'd done and feared how the elephants would react when they found out. They could crush her under their feet like a piece of fruit. Fortunately, the hair was wily and she thought of a perfect way to work herself out of this situation. Oh, Mr Elephant! said the hair,. Could you give me a stone to play with?
