How Your Emotions Are Governing Your Decisions
The neocortex is on the top part of our brain, but below it are all of these more primitive systems like the limbic system that governs our emotions. So we've all had the experience where we think we know what we want and then suddenly under the stress of the moment or the pressure from other people or a change in certain senses,. And the emotions overwhelm us. Our ability to think straight goes out the window because emotions are much more powerful than the thinking part of us.
